Maki Goto in GLAMOROUS magazine

Maki Goto was featured in a magazine that was released on June 7, several months after her mothers untimely passing.  Maki is largely famous from being a former member of Momusu and H!P soloist.  As an idol, her image has always been carefully maintained and been super clean so this is a bold, new move on her part.

The mother of former Morning Musume member Maki Goto has died, apparently after plunging from a window of her apartment in Tokyo's Edogawa Ward, police said.
Police said Goto's elder sister found Tokiko Goto collapsed on a road in front of her home at about 10:55 p.m. on Saturday, and phoned for an ambulance. The 55-year-old was taken to a hospital but she had suffered severe head injuries and she was soon confirmed dead.
Investigators said a window on the third floor was open and there was no evidence of a struggle having occurred. They are investigating the possibility that she accidentally fell from the window or deliberately jumped to her death.
Police said that family members saw the 55-year-old come home drunk at about 10:30 p.m. on Saturday. No suicide note was found in the home.
